A Chuppah or Huppah is the canopy or wedding tent under which a couple is married in a Jewish wedding. It is a privilege to design chuppah for a marriage.
I work with couples to create a design that is personal and meaningful, from simple to elaborate. The chosen imagery is painted with dyes on silk, linen, or any other natural fabric and made in a variety of dimensions. Each piece is a work of art that can be used for many years as a wall hanging and passed on to succeeding generations.
Tulip and Violet Chuppah is hand painted with dye on silk crepe de chine. A mandala of red tulips and blue/purple violets with grey green leaves and stems is exquisitely painted with overlays of colors to form rich tones on a white background. The border is white crepe de chine with reinforced corners and fabric ties /or buttonholes.

Among the Leaves Chuppah is hand painted with dye on silkcharmeuse. Boughs of leaves in reds, yellow gold, olive, and brown on aqua background provide a welcome wedding canopy. Bring nature indoors for your celebration or blend in with an outdoor setting. Elegant painting on sensual charmeuse. Machine hemmed with ties and /or buttonholes on each corner.

This brilliant Sunburst Dahlia Chuppah is hand painted with dye on silk crepe de chine. Oranges, scarlet, and soft gold petals in graceful brushstrokes against a deep aquamarine background resemble a sunburst in the center of this chuppah. A lovely centerpiece for a wedding. The valances are aquamarine silk georgette and have long ties to wrap around the poles or hang free. Machine sewn and hemmed.

A delicate Lilac Chuppah is hand painted with dye on handkerchief linen. This elegant watercolor like painting evokes spring lilacs in pale lilac, blue violet, lavender, and light lime green radiating out of the circle against the white linen. The valances that hang down on each side have small bouquets of lilacs joined by narrow stems in the same colors against white. Machine hemmed with French seams at joins, ties and buttonholes on each corner.
